I suppose everyone knows the Martinka auction is running now. It runs through next weekend.

Would a Magic Token Society auction be interesting to folks here? I know I'd be interested. I was a little disappointed to find that there aren't any really uncommon tokens on this Martinka auction (although there have been in the past). Of course, there may be more to come since it's only half-way through...

Yes - I noticed the auction when Jon listed it on the "About Us" page. Probably could have been in a "News" message topic as well.

Interesting idea. I think most members would be interested in sales or trades. Are there enough members on the site board to support an auction (if it were on the site) and would it be open outside MTS? Perhaps a newsletter auction would better serve the entire membership? I might be wrong. Would need JS or someone to volunteer for the auctioneer post and work out the mechanics.

ANA show new tokens....

had a wonderful coin show in Portland past weekend, big spring American Numismatic Association Money Show.....picked up and saw several great MT...only bummer was the Hermans encased cent...dealer saved it for me but the fellow from UK (magic circle) Alan Shaxon asked the dealer if he had one...since he had it in his pocket for me he twisted his arm to sell it to him...oh well...Alan enjoy it...think its going into the museum...only other bother was that I never got a chance to meet Alan...anyway Im back from the west coast and a bit tired but lots of fun...
